Linked Bloodlines The Yorkshire Terrier was developed in England, the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire regions of England, to be exact. During the 1800’s, people immigrating from Scotland to England, mainly to find work in the many cotton and wool mills, brought along a wide variety of small terrier dogs including the Clydesdale Terrier, Paisley Terrier, and Skye Terrier. In general, all of these different breeds were dubbed ‘Scottish Terriers’
